“When I graduated with a degree in International Business from New Zealand, I returned home and joined the family printing business full-time in 2005,” recalls Chanont Jutanopparat, current CEO of P.K. Press Center. “Back then, I was also pursuing a Master’s in eCommerce at ABAC, while helping to modernize and scale the business.”

The story of P.K. Press Center began over 30 years ago in a humble shop-house. With a passion for excellence and innovation, the company invested early in Heidelberg machines, which became the backbone of its operations. As the business grew, the team expanded and relocated to the Navanakorn Industrial Estate. Today, P.K. Press Center is a mid-sized, full-service print and packaging manufacturer with around 100 staff and expert capabilities across packaging, labeling, manuals, and short-run digital print.

The Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75-5.“This machine is a game-changer,” Chanont says. “It automates plate changes, washes all printing units simultaneously, and handles everything from thin to thick stock flawlessly. The result is unmatched color stability and incredible production speed, with streamlined cost control.”

They also upgraded to the Polar System, installing a new Polar 115 PF cutting machine integrated with CompuCut software, Jogger RA4, and Lift LW1200-4.“It saves time, reduces operator strain, and enhances safety,” he explains. “Even complex ganging cuts are no longer a headache.”

The Subscription Shift

Recently, P.K. Press adopted Heidelberg’s new subscription model.“We chose Prinect Production Manager (ProMan),” Chanont notes. “It allows real-time job setup, automated color and size control, and full workflow planning for both commercial and packaging jobs. Now, every stage shares the same data — giving us end-to-end transparency and operational agility.”

He praises ProMan’s value:“We no longer need to buy separate licenses or worry about future upgrades — Heidelberg handles all of it. The longer the subscription, the more cost-effective it becomes. It’s a no-brainer.”

Included in ProMan are powerful modules like Cockpit, Data Terminal, Scheduler, Proofing, Signa Packaging Pro, and Analyze Point — which gives the company the ability to review past performance and continuously optimize production.

“I can track everything remotely via the Prinect Portal,” says Chanont. “I always know which machine is running and what’s being produced — wherever I am.”
